Please take note of the following two messages from Action Customs/Montreal.

URGENT NOTICE TO ALL INTERNATIONAL AGENTS 

MANDATORY E-MANIFEST FILING 

 Please note that effective June 1^st, 2021 Canada Customs WILL require an ACCEPTED E-Manifest to be filed for ALL shipments entering Canada. The 6 month grace period had ended.  Beginning June 1^st,  2021 monetary penalties will be issued if this is not received within the prescribed time limits.  Failure to send full pre-alert and e-manifest information within below time frames could result in monetary penalties that A.G.O. Transportation will not be held responsible for any of these charges and all fees will be billed back to you. 

Vessel: Pre-alert (drafts accepted) and e-manifest information must be sent to A.G.O. Transportation 48 hours before container loads vessel. 

Air: Pre-alert must be sent and received by A.G.O. Transportation Monday to Friday during our regular business hours 24 hours before cargo arrives to Canada.

URGENT NOTICE FOR ALL FURNITURE IMPORTER INTO CANADA

 Good morning. 

Please note that CBSA has issued a preliminary determination on Wednesday, May 5 2021, regarding the dumping of upholstered furnitures coming in Canada from Vietnam and China:

For goods mentioned in the notice and released by Canada customs on and after May 5^th, there will be provisional duties to be paid: 

From China: up to 295.90% duty on the export price

From Vietnam: up to 101.50% duty on the export price 

Please note that not all upholstered furniture are subject. Per initial investigation, there are some exclusions:
